I know I am my hardest critic -- sometimes I forget to give myself patience and grace. I sure know how to be compassionate and empathetic towards others (aka nurse brain) and am working on being kinder to myself. Small little steps in being kind to your own mind can improve mental health and sense of self. I take each day to work on being kinder to myself by practicing mindfulness, being outside to help with healing, exercising, paying it forward, and investing in my interests to name a few.
